Comment:- Had tea in the café last night. Rang Evon at 7pm then went to bed. Had a very good nights sleep and I was up at 6am, had breakfast and on the road by 7.10am.

Wind had moderated somewhat overnight and was blowing about 10 - 15 knots from the north east. A little cloud around but that soon burnt off. Good flat road and I am feeling great.

A number of small mobs of cattle are wandering the road this morning but nothing to worry about.

I was told that if you stand at the base of a radio transmission tower
(you see them dotted around the country side) you will get mobile phone reception. I had an opportunity to try it today. Didn’t work.

Rode past the turn off to the 80 mile beach which is another popular caravan venue. This was about 45 km from Sandfire. Shortly after I reached another milestone. I turned over 8000 km about 12.15pm.

Stopped for my break at 65km out about 11.15am

The rest of my ride today was uneventful and I had arrived at the Pardoo Roadhouse about 3.45pm. Booked in, setup tent, had a shower, set an SMS to Evon, then over to the café where I will do my diary.
