Comment:- Today was a rest day so I slept in till 7am. Got up and cooked breakfast in the laundry which is the only place that has a bench.
I then set about getting my Blog up to date and I had no problems logging on. Not like last night. I had no hope and I am not sure why. Once I got the blog up to date I spent some time working out my schedule for the next few days, and trying to plan ahead for when I can vote.
Next project was to check over the bike and trailer. All seems to be OK. Then it was fold my washing, and pack. Wash my water bottles and fill them and pack all my food stuffs.
It was time for lunch so I made a few sandwiches with the cold meat and tomatoes I had bought yesterday. Made a cup of coffee to have with a sweet biscuit, then washed up and then went for a wander around the park before laying down to have an afternoon siesta.
I heard my name called and poked my head out of the tent and it was Josie (of bread making fame). I knew Josie and Phil were in South Hedland visiting relatives. I was introduced and invited over for tea. I am sorry, I am no good on remembering names. I will have to write peoples names down in my note book in future. Its embarrassing.
We enjoyed a nice coffee and cake and a chat, then it was time to have a beer. We had a very nice piece of steak with vegetables, followed by waffles and ice cream and a nice cup of tea. A very relaxing evening.
It was time to part company and I said goodbye to the girls, and I was driven back to the park. I would sincerely like to thank my hosts for their hospitality and hope someday I can return the favour,
Back at the tent I did my diary and packed as much as I can for a good departure tomorrow, Port Hedland is a town I would like to remember.
