Day 27
Date:- 10 April 2010
Distance:- 76.27 Km
Distance to Date:- 1086.9 Km
Start:- Sutton Holiday Village
Finish:- Goulburn South Caravan Site
Comment:- We were all up, showered, had breakfast, cleared out the cabins packed ready to depart. After another round of farewells, hugs, etc., it was on ya bike and away we go.
Before we departed the owner/manager of the park where we stayed made a very nice donation towards my costs. It was very gratefully received.
After leaving the park I headed south for about 2 km then turned onto the Federal Highway which virtually took me to Goulburn. There were a couple of gentle hills to start with then it was basically flat all the way to Goulburn. A 2 meter wide shoulder all the way, what more could you want.
A number of cyclists were on the road this morning out for training runs I presume. One cyclist stopped and we had a bit of a chat. Frank was cycling under doctors orders to help remedy a medical problem.
I had my “snack” break at the Arthur Gurney VC rest area. It seems they have named the local rest areas after some well decorated local soldiers.
Arrived in Goulburn about 3.30pm and booked into the nearest caravan park, and set up for the night.
Hopefully ride to Moss Vale tomorrow.
