Comment:- Rest Day today. Had a very good night sleep last night. I was up at 7.30am, over to the laundry and hand washed all my dirty clothes and hung them out to dry. Aired the sleeping bag as well.
Had a leisurely breakfast and then sorted through my gear to see what I can off load. A few tools that I had picked up along the way as well as receipts I had collected. They will be posted back home.
Next project was to check over the trailer and bike. Checked the tyre pressure, all the nuts and bolts, all seemed to be in order. Checked the wheels, brakes, gears and tyres on the bike. I thought I may have to change the brake pads but there is still a bit more life in them yet.
Next project was to update my computer. I compiled an equipment list on the spreadsheet but I cant upload them onto the blog. I will keep trying
While I was working on the computer in the camp kitchen 3 men and their sons came to to cook their “brunch” and invited me to join them. Who am I to refuse an offer like that. Very nice - Thanks fellas
After lunch I saddle up the bike and went down to the Entrance, found a Post Office and posted those goodies back home. I wandered around the Plaza for a couple of hours. Cafes, Ice Cream Parlours, Dress shops and a Supper Market. The whole Plaza was nicely paved and there were water features everywhere. A children’s fair was set up along the foreshore and there were people everywhere. Kids are still on holidays in NSW.
Visited the Supper Market and bought tea and a few little things I needed, then returned to the caravan park. Retrieved my washing, folded and packed it ready for travel. Spent the rest of the afternoon just wandering around the park.
Tomorrow I will head for Newcastle or beyond.
