Comment:- It is very nice to be back in civilization. Mundi has made me most welcome. I had a wonderful sleep and finally got up about 7.45am, just as Mundi was leaving for work.

I had a nice leisurely breakfast then set about doing some minor chores. Wash the bladder of my hydration pack and hang out to dry. Dry the ground sheet for my tent out, work out what to do with my small tent frame and various other little jobs.

Then I went for a walk. Back up to the top of the street you get views of Cairns and Trinity Bay. Then I walked down the street. Grahame warned me the street was very steep and he wasn’t joking. Anyhow got to the bottom and turned left in Irene street and followed that for about 2 km before turning right into McGregor where I found some shops. Had lunch there then headed back the way I had travelled. And yes that hill is very steep.

Back home and had a shave and shower, do my diary then just relax for the rest of the day.
