Comment:- News of the day. I received a phone call yesterday afternoon from a certain person who told me he had bought an engagement ring, and with my permission, he would like to give it to my daughter Simone.

Evon and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the happy couple and wish them well in their future endeavours together.

Evon arrived here safely and on time from Melbourne. And after a champagne or two to celebrate the engagement of our daughter Simone to Ian we had tea, a bit of a chat it was off to bed.

Today we were up about 8.30am and we have just had a very lazy day doing nothing. Sitting around reading, chatting, eating and generally relaxing. Grahame was working on his bikes, Mundi got stuck into her garden. I removed a few branches for her only to be bitten by green ants.

Tomorrow I hope to take my bike in for a service and maybe some new tyres. Fix the problem with BOB’s wheel etc
