Distance:- 68.67 Km
Distance to Date:- 4325.5 Km
Start:- Campaspe River Rest Area

Comment:- I have had trouble connecting to broadband internet last night. Hopefully it was just location. I had mobile phone coverage so hopefully tonight I can log in.

Another late arising this morning. It was so peaceful and dark and I was comfortable after a good nights sleep. Must have been the red wine.

I would like to thank Ron and his wife Marg for their kind hospitality. It was a lovely meal washed down with a little bit of red wine. I am finding it incredible that people are so hospitable and generous.

On the road today about 7.45am. Another wonderful day, a little fresh to start with, about 8 degrees. It soon warmed up when the sun came out. No breeze in the early stages.

Stopped at the little town of Pentland for tea and toast about 9.30am. A few hills appearing about 25km out. Entered the White Mountains National Park about 35 km out. Bit of a climb up to a lookout (R.A.289) The climb seemed to go on and on.

5km past the lookout I had 5km of a gentle downhill run with a tail wind. A NE wind had just come in. Another 15 km and I had reached my destination of Torrens Creek Caravan Park about 2.30pm.

Booked in, set up, a nice hot shower and I was feeling human again.

Tomorrow Hughenden is my destination where I will have a rest day and do all my washing.
