Distance to Date:- 10982 Km
Start:- Salmon Gums Caravan Park

Comment:- I had a rough night last night. In bed by 9.30 pm. Straight to sleep only to be woken by a train about 12.30 am. Then interrupted sleep with people using the toilet which was only 20 metres away. So I got up at 5.30 am, had a quick breakfast, and on the road by 6.30 am.
Cloudless sky, but still quite cool. Kumarl Siding Rest Area about 24 Km out. Big area, table and chairs, but no toilets.
About 9.30 a north westerly breeze had come in, about 5 - 10 kts. Stopped on the side of the road for my break about 50 km out at 10.30 am. Back on the road and into a couple of rolling hills but not too bad.
Lois caught up with me after I had covered 70 km. She had departed her luxury room in Salmon Gums about 7.40 am. We had a quick lunch break together before she took off for Norseman. I followed shortly after.
When I arrived in Norseman Lois had organised a double room at the local motel, which was very pleasant. Unpacked all our gear and locked the bikes in a store room then down to the super market to get something for tea.
Had a coffee and scones at the local café before returning to the motel and doing our respective diaries.
We will then work out a strategy for the next few days as we tackle the mighty Nullarbor.
I think I will have a few problems posting to my blog while I am on the Nullarbor. I will do my best to keep it up to date.

Hi Geoff it seems like your body is holding up to the riggers of long distance cycling(or you're not telling us)Day 178 into Esperance was a long one for you;do your legs tell you 'it's been a long stretch'? Not always easy writing a monologue/comment.With every new days entry I'm becoming more interested in completing such a journey as yours but on a lesser scale I'm sure.A fishermans closing phrase is'may you have Tight lines',not appropriate here so I wish you'tight tyers for the rest of the journey.Bruce
