Comment:- When I had finished my diary last night I had a wander around the property then it was time for tea. Had tea in the café and finished with a nice cup of tea. Watched a bit of television before retiring to bed about 8.45 pm. Had some trouble sleeping and I don’t know why. It wasn’t a cold night or noisy for that matter.
I got up at 5.45 am and with my cereal in hand went over to the café for some real milk, some toast and jam and a cup of tea. All free.
Packed up everything and on the road by 7.30 am. Nice day to start with but scattered showers where forecast. About 1.5 km out a sign to tell me to advance my clock 45 minutes, so any time quoted now will be in the new time zone.
7 km out I stopped to put my wet weather gear on as it started to drizzle, then a bit heavier for 5 minutes and then nothing. Sun was now shining so stop and take my wet weather gear off. All morning showers were crossing in front of me and behind me. I was lucky not to cope another shower.
A light south westerly breeze initially and as the morning progressed it strengthened and swung around to the south east and a head wind for the last 20 km into Cocklebiddy.
Arrived in Cocklebiddy about 1.30 pm, booked into the caravan park, tent up and then gathered all my washing and down to the laundry. Had a light lunch while the washing was being done. Hung the washing out then gathered my stuff to do my diary and headed for the comfort of the café dining room.
Had tea in the café about 6 pm while I watched the news and current affairs programs, then headed for my tent for the night. It rain a number of times through the night and the wind blew. I was reasonably comfortable though.
I will decide in the morning whether I head for Madura or have a Rest Day.
